4: Wonderful Wednesdays at Bellingrath Gardens & Home Bellingrath Gardens and Home is pleased to announce the summer 2008 Wonderful Wednesdays schedule. A variety of fun, hands-on activities and informative presentations for all ages are offered each Wednesday. All programs are open to the public and are included in the price of Gardens admission. Additional fees for some programs will be noted.

6: Mr. Bellingrath created the Bellingrath-Morse Foundation to manage Bellingrath Gardens and Home as a fitting and permanent memorial to his wife. Bellingrath Gardens and Home is an independent non-profit institution. Although the Gardens receive income from the Bellingrath-Morse Foundation, two-thirds of our current operations are financed entirely by admissions, gift shop and restaurant sales, memberships and contributions. Your generous support through the Friends of Bellingrath will enable us to preserve and improve the historic home and gardens for our visitors for many years to come. 7: Modern museum housed in the Southern Market/Old City Hall National Historic Landmark, the Museum of Mobile is a visual masterpiece that provides an unparalleled event setting. A modern 1855 resolution, passed to construct a building for the city market and departments of the city government, now the Museum of Mobile, declared that this structure should be, "of handsome appearance-an ornament to the City,". Indeed it is. This beautiful Italianate building was, "quite the pride of Mobilians," then - and still is today. 12: Rodin: A Magnificent Obsession. This wonderfully emotive exhibition features over 60 original, bronze sculptures by Auguste Rodin, one of the worlds most celebrated artists. The exhibition surveys Rodins prolific career, including early decorative works; highlights from his major public commissions, such as The Thinker (1880).
